We are GFWC Contemporary Women of North County, part of an international group of women volunteers. Our group is made up of women of all ages who share an interest in volunteering for a variety of causes in our community and meeting women with similar interests. We also have fun social events, two book clubs (daytime & evening) and craft (sewing, crocheting & knitting) and many other fun activities.

Please take a look around our website to see all the wonderful volunteer opportunities we have to help local charities and non-profit organizations in the North County of San Diego. We also have a lot of fun at our social events throughout the year where you can meet new friends. All of us enjoy giving back to our community and would love to have you attend a couple of meetings and participate in one of our volunteer or social events to see if we are what you are looking for.
Great fun at our last Sew – In. We made 64 small bears for Vista Community Clinic – the children receiving dental services feel our love and support with these bears.
The Annual EGGstravaganza Fun at HMLA 369 Light Helicopter Unit (Our adopted squadron) Easter Event. Members made cookies so the kids and marines can decorate them.
Helping at Ronald McDonald House. Members help prepare and serve lunch to parents of children receiving treatment at Rady Hospital and their families.
These are just a few of the many fun projects to help our community. Please check out our QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE FOR CWONC PROJECTS for more information.
