We are GFWC Contemporary Women of North County, part of an international group of women volunteers. Our group is made up of women of all ages who share an interest in volunteering for a variety of causes in our community and meeting women with similar interests. We also have fun social events, two book clubs (daytime & evening) and craft (sewing, crocheting & knitting) and many other fun activities.

Please take a look around our website to see all the wonderful volunteer opportunities we have to help local charities and non-profit organizations in the North County of San Diego. We also have a lot of fun at our social events throughout the year where you can meet new friends. All of us enjoy giving back to our community and would love to have you attend a couple of meetings and participate in one of our volunteer or social events to see if we are what you are looking for.
Great fun at our last Sew – In. On September 23rd, 18 members gathered for a “Sew In” at the San Marcos Community Center and created 52 whimsical children’s themed pillowcases.
January 10, 2018 – Another fun day at Ronald McDonald House helping to prepare and serve families with children with life threatening diseases in Rady Children’s Hospital or other hospitals in San Diego.
Some of our members attending our annual San Diego Philharmonic’s Summer Pops at the Embarcadero.
These are just a few of the many fun projects to help our community. Please check out our QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE FOR CWONC PROJECTS for more information.
